Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller of personal data described in this policy is:

No data protection officer is appointed.

This policy is written in English. The governing law is the law of the Republic of Slovenia.

2. Scope

This policy covers the Abliterated app and the website at https://abliterated.bizjak.dev.

It does not cover abliteration.ai or any other third party.

3. Personal data from the app

The operator does not collect, receive, or have access to any personal data from the app. The developer receives no data from the app. Nothing is ever sent to the operator’s servers, because the operator has none.

4. Data on the device

The app stores the user’s API key, chats, and settings on the device. That data does not leave the device except as described in section 5.

5. Network

The app communicates with abliteration.ai so the user can use the models hosted there. Conversation content and the user’s API key are sent to abliteration.ai for that purpose.

6. Independent controller: abliteration.ai

abliteration.ai is an independent controller for anything it receives. What abliteration.ai does with that data is governed by abliteration.ai’s own terms and privacy policy, not by this policy.

The operator of Abliterated is not responsible for abliteration.ai’s processing.

7. Analytics, tracking, and advertising

The app contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising.

8. Deletion

The user can delete chats, the stored API key, or all local app data from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes data stored by the app on the device.

Because the operator holds no personal data from the app, the operator cannot fulfil an erasure request by deleting app data on the user’s device. The user exercises erasure through the steps above.

9. This website

This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics. It loads no scripts, fonts, or other assets from third parties.

The website is a static site. Pages work without JavaScript.

10. Email contact

If a user emails the operator, the email address and the contents of the message are processed in order to answer the message. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the message relates to a request connected with use of the app or site, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering correspondence) otherwise.

11. Rights

Where the GDPR applies, the user has the right to:

1. access personal data;
2. rectification;
3. erasure;
4. restriction of processing;
5. data portability;
6. object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
7. lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The competent supervisory authority in Slovenia is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), https://www.ip-rs.si/.

For data stored only on the user’s device by the app, the operator holds nothing to act on. The user exercises the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability for that data by using the in-app deletion features described in section 8.

For email, requests may be sent to [email protected]. The operator will say if a request cannot be fulfilled because the operator does not hold the data.

12. Children

The app is not directed at children. Use is limited to persons aged 18 and over.

13. Changes

The operator may change this policy. The current version is published at https://abliterated.bizjak.dev/privacy, with a version number and a last-updated date. Material changes will appear on that page.
